HOTEL TIVOLI

The villas are open to visitors and often host cultural events, which, in the magnificent historical setting of these locations, attract the attention of tourists.

HADRIAN'S VILLA

What to see in Tivoli? The ancient "Tibur Superbum" is a small archaeological paradise, offering much to visitors, such as the majestic Roman villas.

Hadrian's Villa, a royal residence commissioned by Emperor Hadrian, is composed of several buildings spread over a vast area of approximately 120 hectares, in an area rich in springs. In 1999, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the Tiburtini Mountains, just minutes from Tivoli and a few kilometers from Rome.

It is an example of the emperor's innovative architectural ideas, who is thought to have wanted to reproduce the places and monuments that had impressed him during his travels throughout the provinces of the empire.

VILLA D'ESTE

Villa d'Este, also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was commissioned by Ippolito II d'Este, a scholar of Roman antiquities who was fascinated by Tivoli. He enjoyed it for a short time before dying and leaving it to his heirs.

It is surrounded by a splendid garden that extends from the rear façade of the villa and is characterized by terraces and slopes. Also noteworthy are the numerous artistic fountains that offer water displays to visitors, creating an unusual atmosphere.

VILLA GREGORIANA

Villa Gregoriana is an area of historical and landscape value, recently recognized by the FAI as a Park, located between the Aniene River and the ancient Roman acropolis and commissioned by Pope Gregory XVI.
The villa stands in a steep valley, formerly known as the Valley of Hell, along which visitors can follow a route leading to the acropolis, on whose esplanade stand two temples dating back to the 1st century BC. The site is best known for its Great Waterfall.
